鹿回头风景区坐落在三亚市西南端鹿回头半岛内，共有大小五座山峰，最高海拔181米。公园三面环海，一面毗邻三亚市区，是登高望海、观看日出日落与俯瞰三亚市全景的佳处。1994年，鹿回头风景区被评为国家级风景名胜区。2017年，鹿回头风景区荣获国家4A旅游景区称号。

     “鹿回头”雕塑高15米，长10米，宽5米，是海南岛内极负盛名的花岗岩雕塑；在2009年荣获国家住房和城乡建设部与文化部联合颁发的 “新中国城市雕塑建设成就奖”。

       鹿回头有一个海南黎族美丽的爱情传说：古代一位黎族青年猎手从海南岛腹地五指山追赶一只坡鹿直到南海之滨。坡鹿在面对山巅悬崖、茫茫大海，无路可走之时眼含泪花回头一望，猎人见此情此景顿生恻隐之心，放下弓箭，决定不杀此鹿。而此鹿正是上天派来点化猎人的神鹿，见猎人心存善念，便化身为一位美丽的女子，与猎人共度余生，过上了刀耕火种、男耕女织的生活。这是人类从蛮荒走向文明的重要一步。因为这个美丽的传说，三亚市也因此得名“鹿城”。

       三亚鹿回头风景区是三亚市历史文化的源泉，是三亚市得名“鹿城”的由来，也是三亚市的文化标志和历史记忆。景区内流传千古的“鹿回头传说”是我国三大少数民族爱情传说之一，与云南的阿诗玛和广西的刘三姐相媲美。

       鹿是自由的象征，它化身为人表达了鹿与人的平等，猎人的恻隐之心则是人类博爱的展现。鹿回头传说诠释着几千年来淳朴而美好的黎族文化和人类共同的价值观（自由、平等、博爱、包容）。“不忘初心，方得始终”，在现代社会钢筋水泥的丛林里，我们为了虚名披星戴月地“赶路”，是否还能记起自己最初的梦想？自己是否已经走了太远。我们在埋头苦寻的时候，是否也能让自己停下来？歇一歇，带上爱人、亲人去感受生活的美好。

Luhuitou ScenicArea  Introduction

      Luhuitou (meaning,‘a deer looking over itsshoulder’) Scenic Area is located in the south-west side of Sanya City.The park is neighboring to Sanya city and surrounded by the sea on three sides.Located on the mountain peak, Luihuitou Scenic Area offers a great view of thesea, sunrise and sunset. It is also the unique location that overlooks the fullview of Sanya city. Luhuitou Scenic Area is the theme park of the love cultureand ecology. In 1994, Luhuitou Scenic Area was approved as a national scenicspot.  

        The sculpture of “Luhuitou” is 15 metershigh, 10 meters long and 5 meters wide, which makes it the highest sculpture onHainan Island. It won the “New China CitySculpture Construction Achievement Award” in 2009, issued by the Ministry ofHousing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Culture, and it becamethe representative statue of Sanya city.

        Nowadays, Luhuitou is entitled a theme parkthat displays love culture encompassed in an ecological layout. It is also thecentral area of a protected forest vegetation reserve in Sanya city with anabundance of plants, both national and provincial endemic species.

        There is a love fairy tale from theHainan Li ethnic group which is set in Luihuitou: A long time ago, there was abrave young Li hunter who wore a red headband and carried a bow and arrow inhis hands. He had gone over ninety-nine mountains from WuzhiMountain and crossed ninety-ninerivers to chase an Eld's deer to the shore of the South China Sea. The deer went up to the top of the mountain，wherethere was no way to go just the wide sea beyond the cliff. The deer stopped andlooked back, her eyes, clear and beautiful, sad and emotional. The young hunterput down the bow and arrow that he was going to shoot. Suddenly, there was aflash of light, smoke appeared, and the Eld's deer looked back and became abeautiful Li girl. Eventually, they got married and settled down in this land,and that is why the mountain is called “Luihuitou”. According to the love fairy tale，thesculpture of “Luhuitou” was built as the highest sculpture on theHainan island, and the signature sculpture of Sanya city. Hence, Sanya cityobtained the name “lucheng” (the city of deer).

海南岛的南端，真有一个山崖叫“鹿回头”，山崖前方，真叫“天涯海角”，再前方，便是茫茫大海。既然如此，那头鹿的回头也就回得非同小可了，中国的帝王面南而坐，中国的民居朝南而筑，中国发明的指南针神奇地永远指向南方……。

这一来，它比海明威《乞力马扎罗》中的豹子更庄严了。

生态之山

风景区内植被属于常绿热带雨林生态类型，是三亚市森林植被自然保护区的核心地带，拥有丰富的、保存完好的原生态植被，绿化覆盖率高达95.6%。植物种类多达300多种，其中不乏花梨木、麻楝、鱼木、鹰爪、玉叶金花、海南龙血树等具有很高观赏价值的国家级或省级保护物种，还有红鼻狸、猫头鹰、黄麂、隼等数十种野生动物徜徉其中。

The vegetationtypes of Luhuitou Scenic Area are evergreen tropical rain forest which is corearea of Forest Reserve of Sanya City, also one of the best Forest Reservewithin Sanya City, Green coverage up to 95.6%. Thescenic area has more than 300 kinds of plant species, many of whom arerosewood, ma lian, fish wood, trachypenaeus, mussaenda, hainan dracaena andother high ornamental value of the national or provincial protected species,There are red nose fox, owls, yellow muntjac, Falcon and other dozens ofwildlife ecology in the forest.

黎族圣山

这里流传着美丽动人的爱情故事，这里展示着海南黎族的民俗文化；这里拥有完好的热带植被和生态；这里是登高望海和观看日出日落的制高点，也是俯瞰三亚市全景的佳处。

This place spreads beautiful love storiesand demonstrates Hainan Li folk culture. It possesses the intact tropicalvegetations and ecological environment; it is the best place to overlook theentire scenery, and it is the perfect spot to look over the sea as well assunrises and sunsets.

鹿回头的地理位置与自然风貌

       1）区位：鹿回头居北纬18°14'；东经109°31之间。位于三亚市南端鹿

       2）地貌：半岛内山地丘林，中高周低，呈螺状地貌，最高海拔181米，西南山麓直入大海。土壤属于砂壤性土及红褐粉砂壤土，土壤含砂量大，并随处可见露天海底沉积岩大石、土壤肥力不高、因地处滨海，盐基饱和度较高，接近中性反应。

       3）植被：鹿回头与三亚市隔海相望，是市区内植被最丰富的地区之一。是一处初具热带生态群落的自然景观，人工地促进了生物多样性恢复和发展，使之成为了三亚城市净化环境的一个重要的“肺”。

       4）鹿回头的植被覆盖率约为70%，拥有400多种植物，其中一部为为国家保护及海南特有植物，如：降香檀（别名：花梨，国家二级保护和海南特有），海南苏铁（海南特有），鹿角蕨（国家二级保护）等。
